The Forge

In the ancient world, a forge was where raw iron became a weapon.

Where weakness was burned away.
Where impurities were removed.
Where strength was shaped through fire and pressure.

A blacksmith didn't create strength—he revealed it.
He took what was already there and forged it into something unbreakable.

This is what God does with men.

"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver."
— Malachi 3:3

God is the Master Blacksmith.

He doesn't discard broken men—He refines them.
He doesn't avoid the fire—He uses it to purge what weakens us.
He doesn't leave us as we are—He forges us into who we were meant to be.

The forge is dark—but the fire is light.

The metal enters dull and weak.
The fire reveals its strength.
The hammer shapes its purpose.
The finished blade reflects the light.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
— Proverbs 27:17

The Forge is where this happens.

Where Scripture is the hammer.
Where brotherhood is the anvil.
Where discipline is the fire.
Where Christ is the Refiner.

We don't gather to stay comfortable.
We gather to be forged.

Not into what the world says we should be.
Into who God created us to be.
